Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid accreditation is a nationally-recognised qualification.  Developed in Australia and now being delivered around the globe in over 20 countries, Mental Health First Aid accreditation gives people the skills and confidence to support people around them who are developing a mental illness or experiencing a crisis.

The Standard Mental Health First Aid course, licensed by Mental Health First Aid Australia, comprises modules on depression, anxiety, suicidality, psychosis, and substance use, and can be delivered via:

  1. 2-day face-to-face format, 14 hours in total.

  2. Blended/online delivery, where participants undertake 6-8 hours of self-paced e-learning followed by two 2.5-hour video-conference sessions with an instructor.

  3. Blended/face-to-face delivery, where participants undertake 6-8 hours of self-paced e-learning followed by one 4-hour face-to-face session with an instructor.

Accreditation is valid for 3 years, after which refresher training is available (enquire below).
