1. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in any training provided by John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined herein.

2. Training Content

2.1 Best Available Evidence: All training content is reflective of the best available evidence at the time of compilation. Courses developed by Mental Health First Aid Australia are delivered under license by fully licensed instructors. Materials developed by John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training remain the intellectual property of John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training. John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training is committed to maintaining the highest standards and regularly updates training materials to incorporate the latest research and industry practices.

2.2 Non-Clinical and Non-Legal Advice: The training provided by John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training is educational in nature and does not constitute clinical or legal advice. Participants should not interpret the training content as a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have specific concerns, consultation with a qualified professional is recommended.

3. Instructor Qualifications

All instructors are licensed Mental Health First Aid instructors and possess the necessary qualifications and expertise in their respective fields. Participants can trust that the training is delivered by knowledgeable professionals committed to maintaining high standards.

4. Liability and Indemnity

John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training maintains public liability and professional indemnity insurance. However, participants are responsible for their own well-being during and after the training sessions. John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage incurred as a result of participation in the training.

5. Enrolment and Payment

5.1 Enrolment: Enrolment in programs is subject to availability. John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training reserves the right to refuse enrolment to any participant.

6. Engagement Fee and Cancellation Policy

6.1 Face-to-Face Courses: For face-to-face courses, including Mental Health First Aid, a 30% non-refundable deposit may be required at time of booking, at the discretion of John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training, upon receipt of which the booking will be confirmed. Full payment may be requested 7 days prior to commencement of course. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the commencement of the course will incur full payment.

6.2 Blended/Online Mental Health First Aid: For blended/online Mental Health First Aid courses, a 50% non-refundable deposit may be required at time of booking, at the discretion of John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training, upon receipt of which the booking will be confirmed and training materials (including eLearning access) will be purchased. Full payment may be requested 7 days prior to commencement of course. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the commencement of the course will incur full payment.

7. Alteration of course dates

7.1 By booking party: Course dates can be changed by negotiation up to 7 days prior to commencement of course, after which dates will be set and cancellation will be in accordance with Clause 6.

7.2 By John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training: Any necessary changes to course dates will be negotiated with the booking party. If this occurs within 7 days of the originally scheduled course commencement date, the booking party may request a refund, minus any engagement fee, rather than negotiating an alternative date.

8. Additional Clauses

8.1 Intellectual Property: Materials developed by John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training, including but not limited to training materials, remain the intellectual property of John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training. Materials developed by Mental Health First Aid Australia remain the intellectual property of Mental Health First Aid Australia, and are used under license.

8.2 Technology Requirements: For online sessions, participants are expected to have up-to-date versions of Microsoft Teams or Zoom upon request.

8.3 Special Accommodations: If special accommodations are required, these will be requested at the point of booking and payment of the deposit. John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training will endeavour to meet reasonable requests in this regard.

8.4 Complaints and Grievances: Complaints and grievances will be submitted in writing to training@johngosling.com.au

8.5 Data Protection and Privacy: Data collected on participants (i.e., names, email addresses) will be stored securely. Participants may be contacted via email regarding new courses and training opportunities, but data will not be provided to any third parties.

8.6 Photography and Recording: Photographs taken during training sessions may be used for promotional material unless requested otherwise.

8.7 Right to Refuse Service: John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or organization.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Australia and the relevant States and Territories. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in these jurisdictions.

By enrolling in John Gosling PhD Mental Health Training, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
